A Special Night with Concertmaster Michael Hanson

Maestro’s Circle and Spotlight Society members gathered at the Ent Center for the Arts for an private performance featuring Concertmaster Michael Hanson on September 24. Michael was joined by Evan DeLong principal violin II, Catherine Hanson principal viola, William Cayanan principal cello, and Kelly McSweeney Zuercher principal piano in a program that highlighted both individual artistry and seamless ensemble collaboration.

The evening’s repertoire featured Ravel’s Tzigane: Rapsodie de Concert, Ravel’s Sonatine pour Piano, JoaquĂ­n Turina’s La oraciĂłn del torero, and Dvořák’s Quintet in A Major—a captivating program that showcased the depth and versatility of the Philharmonic’s principal musicians.
