Introducing Kids Programs at Our Free for Kids Concerts

We’re excited to share a new initiative designed to make the concert experience even more welcoming for young audiences. Beginning now, children attending our Free for Kids performances will receive a special Kids Program created just for them.

Available at all Free for Kids dates — Fridays for Philharmonic Pops and Sundays for Masterworks and Signature Series — these programs are designed for ages 7–17 and aim to spark curiosity, encourage engagement, and help kids feel like they truly belong in the concert hall. The initiative, led by Music Director Chloé Dufresne and the Center for Future Audiences, reflects our ongoing commitment to inviting more families into the space and nurturing the next generation of music lovers.

Each Kids Program will feature age-appropriate insights about the music, composers, and what to listen for, along with fun facts about our Great Hall. Some editions may even include an interactive activity on the back to continue the experience beyond the final note.

Free for Kids performances include two free youth tickets (ages 7–17) with the purchase of one adult ticket — making it easier than ever for families to experience live orchestral music together.

We can’t wait to welcome more young listeners and see our hall filled with curiosity, discovery, and the joy of live music.

The July 4th Star Spangled Symphony Performance has been postponed. Please check the event page for additional information.
