Colorado Springs Philharmonic: Inspiring Youth with Itzhak Perlman

The Center for Future Audiences and the Colorado Springs Philharmonic recently provided a rare opportunity for local young talent. Specifically, members of the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony (CSYSA) attended a closed dress rehearsal for the legendary Itzhak Perlman on Saturday, April 18th. This unique event allowed these rising stars to witness the 99th Season Gala preparations firsthand.

Music Director Chloé Dufresne led the rehearsal with her signature energy and precision. Furthermore, the audience included several family members of our own Philharmonic musicians. Observing a master like Perlman in a professional setting offers an invaluable education. Consequently, the students gained a deeper understanding of the dedication required for world-class artistry.

The atmosphere in the Pikes Peak Center felt charged with inspiration throughout the morning. Subsequently, we hope this experience fuels the students’ own musical journeys. We are proud to bridge the gap between seasoned professionals and the next generation of performers. Ultimately, witnessing such excellence helps our young musicians dream even bigger.

The July 4th Star Spangled Symphony Performance has been postponed. Please check the event page for additional information.
