We’re thrilled to celebrate Philharmonic clarinetist Jeremy Reynolds on the release of his brand-new album, Songs of Sea and Stone—a sweeping and evocative recording that captures the natural beauty of the Pacific Coast.
The album features the music of composer Jenni Brandon, with a collection of world premiere works for clarinet that move seamlessly from the shores of California to the underwater wonders of Baja. From intimate solo and duo settings to expressive collaborations with piano, the journey culminates in Fin de la Tierra: Land’s End, a single-movement concerto inspired by the landscapes and sea life of the Baja California peninsula.
Jeremy’s artistry shines throughout—bringing nuance, warmth, and depth to Brandon’s lyrical, nature-inspired compositions. Known worldwide as a champion of new music, Jeremy has premiered and commissioned works across six continents, and his commitment to expanding the clarinet repertoire is front and center in this recording.
Please join us in congratulating Jeremy on this exciting achievement! Songs of Sea and Stone is not only a showcase of Jeremy’s remarkable music-making, but also a testament to the power of collaboration and creativity.
