At the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, we couldn’t do what we do without our amazing team of volunteers. These passionate individuals don’t just offer their time and energy – they offer their hearts and souls to support the Philharmonic’s mission of bringing high-quality music to the community. The CS Philharmonic would like to recognize our team of Volunteers by highlighting a special volunteer near and dear to our heart – Sally Sharpe.
Sally Sharpe is an integral part of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic team. Sally serves on the board of directors and is also a part of the music director search committee. She contributes her time and effort to a variety of tasks such as mailings, patron calls, and working concerts at the front lobby table.
When asked how she got involved in volunteering with the Philharmonic, Sally responded that it was her love of music and the CS Philharmonic that initially drew her in. As a subscriber, she wanted to find ways to offer additional support and aid to the organization.
Having been a volunteer for 15 years, Sally has seen the inner workings of the Philharmonic and its dedicated team. She notes that there are many different ways to get involved, such as supporting the in-house staff, doing mailings and phone calls, or meeting with the public. Volunteering is not only fun, but it also provides an opportunity to learn new skills and gain a different perspective on music and the musicians who create it.
Overall, Sally’s experience as a volunteer with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic has been a rewarding one, and she encourages anyone considering volunteering to get involved and discover the joy of supporting such a vibrant and essential part of the community.
