YOUR LEGACY

Imagine the Philharmonic, decades or centuries from now, still benefitting from your generosity. Your legacy is a powerful endorsement, guaranteeing a steady and sustainable future for the Colorado Springs Philharmonic. You have your choice of two endowments inside the Foundation.
Permanent Endowment:
For donors wishing ultimate permanence of their gift, the Permanent Endowment offers the greatest guarantee. Its annual grant to the Philharmonic is strictly set at 5% of Endowment assets.
Board Designated Endowment:
The Board Designated Endowment is also a vigilantly protected fund, providing 5% annually. In rare cases, this fund has the flexibility to help with extraordinary needs or strategic growth in which case the Foundation Trustees may vote to grant more than 5% of assets.

Methods of giving

  • A One-Time Cash Gift: Allow us to recognize you immediately for your cash gift to the Foundation.
  • A Pledge Over Time: Add gradually to your legacy by giving an amount each year.
  • Bequests: Donors may designate the Philharmonic as a recipient of their estate.
  • Beneficiary Designation: You may direct assets by naming the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Foundation as a beneficiary of an investment account. This can be done with trusts, retirement accounts, life insurance, and other financial instruments.

Donor recognition

Naming and Sponsorship: Legacy gifts deserve special recognition. Named funds recognizing a donor, or a donor’s loved one, represent a wonderful opportunity to honor family and friends. Gifts of $50,000 or more will establish a named fund and may be made in a multi-year pledge. We would be pleased to discuss naming and sponsorship with you.  The Encore Society: The Encore Society was created to recognize the generosity of patrons and friends who have made a planned gift of any amount to provide for the future of the Philharmonic.  Membership is granted to any individual who shares documentation of their gift plan, no matter the amount of the gift or age of the donor. All Philharmonic patrons who choose to leave a legacy are eligible to become members of the Encore Society. Benefits of the Encore Society include: Special Encore Society lapel pin Invitation to the annual luncheon Invitation to special Philharmonic events Concert dedications for donors ($100,000 or more at gift realization) to include free tickets for family members and donor hospitality access.
