Bron Wright has served as Principal Trombonist with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic since 2005. In 2009 he appeared as a concerto soloist with the Philharmonic on their Masterworks Series and in 2007 as a Pops soloist on their 4th of July and New Years Eve performances. Bron also holds current Principal positions with the Boulder Philharmonic and the Fort Collins Symphony orchestras. In 2010 Bron served as 2nd trombonist with the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra in New Orleans and from 2005-2007 as a member of the Charleston Symphony in South Carolina. In addition he has won positions with the Mississippi, Tucson, and Memphis symphony orchestras.
He has toured and performed on numerous occasions with the Colorado Symphony; the Boston Symphony Orchestra under Seiji Ozawa, Kurt Masur, Robert Spano, and Sir Neville Marriner; the Boston Pops Orchestra under John Williams, Keith Lockhart and Harry Ellis Dickson; and a 2004 tour to Carnegie Hall and Rome, Italy with the New World Symphony under Michael Tilson-Thomas. He has received fellowships with such festivals as the Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo, Japan; the American Russian Artists Orchestra in Russia; the AIMS Festival Orchestra in Graz, Austria; and the Tanglewood Music Center in Lenox, MA.
As a soloist, Bron has toured to over 35 countries and in 1993 was selected to perform for Queen Noor and King Hussein at the Jerash International Music Festival in Amman, Jordan. Bron currently teaches trombone and euphonium at the University of Colorado Denver and privately throughout Colorado Springs.
