Nicole Anthony Schiff, Vice President of Advancement
Nicole Anthony Schiff joined the local nonprofit community in 2011 and has built a stellar reputation as a dynamic education, community, and arts advocate. Born and raised in Gardena, California, Nicole graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied Anthropology, Political Science, and Economics. She began her professional career at Cal Performances, UC Berkeley’s premier performing arts presenter and producer.
Nicole’s rich roots in the regional cultural and educational sectors are vast. She has successfully managed high-impact initiatives for institutions, including the Fine Arts Center at Colorado College and the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs (UCCS). Notably, she played a major role in raising the philanthropic capital to build the stunning 92,000-square-foot Ent Center for the Arts. Her deep connection to the future of music in our community is further reflected in her current service on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Springs Youth Symphony. Her multi-faceted background also includes private-sector consulting for a global tech firm and international field work as an archaeologist in Latin America.
Most recently, Nicole served as the Director of Development for Early Connections Learning Centers, playing an instrumental role in transforming their community engagement infrastructure that culminated with the historic opening of the Alice Bemis Taylor Center for Early Education. Under Nicole’s leadership, Early Connections’ signature Gingerbread & Jazz Gala grew to new heights and has been the most successful event in the organization’s 129-year history.
Driven by an insatiable appetite for learning and a profound penchant for people, Nicole is best known for her radiant energy, creativity, and ability to unite people around a common vision. True to her collaborative spirit, you can often find her inviting friends, colleagues, and partners to join around a table for a meal, libations, and lively conversation.
Nicole resides at the foot of America’s mountain with her husband, Lucas, and their three children: Isabelle, Carsten, and Phoebe. Nicole returns to the Colorado Springs Philharmonic this July as Vice President of Advancement, eager to launch into a historic Centennial Season.
