Suzanna Schulze

Suzanna began piano lessons at age 7 and cello lessons at 12. She received her Bachelor and Master Degrees in Cello Performance simultaneously from the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in 1982. While in Houston, she performed regularly with the Houston Ballet Orchestra and the Houston Quartet, and spent a year as cellist with the Houston Symphony Orchestra. She was a cellist for the Colorado Springs Symphony Orchestra for 15 years, and is a founding member of the Colorado Springs Philharmonic Orchestra.

Suzanna has performed with several small ensembles in southern Colorado, encompassing various styles of music. “Now I want to experiment with improvisational and electronic cello music performance after years of playing in the symphony. Yoga is an important part of my life as well, and I’m finding ways to bring these two passions together.” Over the past 4 years, she has been studying ancient healing techniques with Swami Kaleshwar, a modern-day saint living in southern India. She is a full-time senior technical writer for L3 Communications.
