Bootlegger’s bash takes a page out of the Great American Songbook with timeless tunes from Irving Berlin, Louis Armstrong, and other greats of the Jazz Age. They’ll take you back to the Roaring Twenties, when art and fashion were revitalized alongside the beginning of Prohibition.
Musical numbers will be announced from the stage, each one lined up like a rhythmic, swaggering cocktail.

Venturing into the vibrant music scene of Atlanta, Matt carved out his niche as a jazz vocalist, captivating audiences at renowned venues such as the Velvet Note, Kat’s Cafe, Venkman’s, and Red Light Cafe. He went on to create his own shows and established his own esteemed jazz jam, becoming a fixture in the Atlanta area.
Now Colorado-based, you’ll find Matt performing throughout the local music scene. Jazz, pop, blues, rock, latin, funk, and show styles infuse each performance with a unique sound. His ability to connect with both audiences and fellow musicians alike elevates his performances to unforgettable heights, leaving a lasting impression.
Miles Roth is a versatile trumpet player and educator specializing in Jazz, Classical, and Commercial music. He serves as the Assistant Professor of Jazz Trumpet at the University of Northern Colorado. Miles earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Studies from the University of Northern Colorado, and holds a Master’s Degree in Music Performance from the University of Denver. Currently, he is a Doctoral Candidate at the University of North Texas, where he is in the process of completing his dissertation. Before his professorship at the University of Northern Colorado, Miles was the Adjunct Instructor of Trumpet at both Austin College and Midwestern State University. He has an impressive freelance career, having performed with renowned artists such as Jennifer Hudson, Johnny Mathis, Randy Brecker, Jon Faddis, Take 6, Anja Nissen, Il Divo, and the Dallas Opera. He also held the position of Principal Trumpet with the Sherman Symphony from 2022 to 2024. Miles’s accolades include winning 1st Place in the Charleston International Baroque Competition in 2024 and being recognized as a semi-finalist at the National Trumpet Competition in both 2018 and 2020.
